Meet Solaris! Solaris is a beautiful black and white, medium to long haired female. Solaris was found by his fosters children that were on the verge of freaking out while on the phone explaining that they found kittens in the front yard. The fosters children were panicking as they were afraid something was seriously wrong when one of the kittens were not moving. Quickly, their foster mom left work to come home. As soon as she got home, she decided to park her truck out of the driveway as she didn’t want the kittens running up under her truck. She quickly sat down in the middle of her driveway. Solaris, Ragnar brother, quickly ran right over to Christine, their Foster. Solaris was meowing with her whole little heart. Despite the meowing and running towards her, Solaris did not want to be pet but was close enough to see their was no injury or anything wrong. Christine, and her son quickly got Solaris in the carrier. Once being assured solaris was safe, Christine went to access Ragnar. He was curled up in her driveway. When she walked near him, she expected him to bolt. He never moved. She was quickly able to scoop him up and place him in the carrier with no issues.
They were unsure at first once inside the house. Although they made their unease towards their foster Golden retriever very clear ASAP. But after a few days even the overgrown cat that is my Golden won them over. Today they love to play on the scratch post, in their own little scrunchie house. They also love catnip and the red laser light. They get along wonderfully with their fosters 3 cats.
Solaris is a little more reserved. You have to be sitting at her level for her to even come near you. And then you have to do slow movements to pet her. Unless you catch her while she is napping. Her favorite napping spot is the back of my couch right in front of the window. There is can stand on the side and pet her and she will even purr.
Are you looking for a gorgeous black and white kitty that you can work with and snuggle with? If so, Solaris is for you! Solaris is available for adoption on our website at ffrescue.org. ‍⬛

Additional adoption info

The time it takes to process an application largely depends on the speed at which we are able to contact personal references. If approved, we go over an adoption contract that the adopter will sign, and it is at this time that an adoption fee of $125 is required. If an adoption does not work out for any reason, our adoption contract requires that the kitty be returned to Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc.

More about this rescue

We are a humane no-kill cat rescue that is working to better the lives of cats in Gloucester and Camden Counties. We do not euthanize any of the animals in our care simply to make room for new ones. Although our operation is small, each and every homeless pet in our program receives the absolute best care possible until a furrever home can be found. We are small... but mighty. Every animal saved is a victory. Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc. (FFRV) is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to save the lives of homeless animals. Furrever Friends operates entirely on donations from caring individuals such as yourself. And, because Furrever Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your cash donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to "Furrever Friends." Our volunteers work hard to: -Provide safe, loving care in foster homes until a furrever family can be found. -Spay/neuter and vaccinate pets prior to adoption to help control the pet overpopulation problem. -Find new Furrever Homes for animals only after carefully screening potential adopters. -Raise funds through special events and projects to cover veterinary and food costs. -Fund emergency medical care to injured or abused animals in the FFRV program through "Geronimo's Fund". -Showcase homeless animals at various venues to help find them homes, including our PetSmart Adoption Center in Deptford, NJ.
