Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR A YOUNG DOG. HERE WE GO!!
Meet Trooper. If there ever was a dog that had a name to suit him perfectly, it would be our precious Trooper. Trooper came to us from a rescue in Merced, that felt he could be better served in a Cocker Rescue. Trooper had a broken jaw and a pair of wobbly knees.
Trooper was seen by an orthopedic surgeon. Troopers wobbly knees are due to a genetic deformity. He is not in any pain and it was decided that surgery would be far too invasive. Trooper runs, jumps and races around without a care in the world.
Trooper is a sweet, affectionate, friendly boy, and definitely ALL crazy puppy. He is still puppy nipping, jumping, getting into anything he can and has tons of energy.
Trooper has become very attached to his foster mom and can be possessive. Trooper is not a fan of men, so he really needs to be in a home with a single, dog savvy woman. He needs a woman who has the time and energy to work on his socialization and would be willing to take him to training and be diligent in working with him so he can grow into a happy, well behaved boy.
If you are interested in Trooper, please fill out our adoption application at norcalcockerrescue.org and we will be in touch with you.
