Marshmallow's story is almost a fairy tale - she was rescued by kind humans from drowning in the canal. Marshmallow is very friendly with people! She does want to be the alpha, however. Also, she does not tolerate cats. Marshmallow is gentle when taking treats and not food aggressive. She is a young, playful princess who will need training (but think of the potential!). Are you ready to give her a fairy tale ending, and bring Marshmallow to her furever home?

This dog will be ideal for an active family who has no other pets.

  1. She loves to run on the leash, and is very good
  2. She is obedient
  3. She is gentle with food and treats
  4. She likes to be with the whole family
  5. She collects stuffed animals and does not chew them
  6. She likes to lay on her back and hold a ball with her paws and plays with it
  7. She is a decent swimmer and likes the pool
  8. She easily gets over a 6-foot fence (so she would need a very tall fence or only supervised time out in the backyard, or if active apartment owner who takes out on a leash
  9. She should be the only dog in the home

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family. Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250. Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200. We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots. All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption. We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Go meet their pets

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall. If you are interested in a specific pet, please complete our adoption application found on our website and we can then coordinate a meet and greet.
