My story

This dog is located in Houston, Tx and is available for transport to this area. The adoption fee includes transport.

Blue is a super friendly, energetic boy. He LOVES to play. He is approximately 2 years old. He was found as a stray and was scared of new people initially but he quickly grew confident in his foster home and is now very friendly with everyone he meets. He loves to play with other dogs but can occasionally get irritated with dominant, male dogs. He is very loving and attached to whoever he thinks his people are. He is an active dog and has a lot of the husky characteristics in his personality. He’s smart and loves learning new commands and is eager to please. He has no health issues and is ready for his forever home. He will need an experienced pet owner who is patient and has the time for an active working breed. If you would like more info please email westhoustonanimalrescue@gmail.com.

All our pups are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention.

Our adoption process starts with an application and a vet reference.

Why adoption is a great option

Blue, a Portland Husky/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Cattle Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Husky/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Husky/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
