Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Polly is a 6-year-old ball of energy! Polly weighs around 20 pounds which is perfect on her 13-inch frame. Polly was pulled from an area shelter where she had been on a 3-day stray hold. No one had claimed this sweet little girl, so HBHR said that we would find her a forever home!
Polly is house broken with the use of a dog door. She loves playing with the younger pack members and will entice them to chase her. She can really get those short legs of hers moving!
Polly is very timid about letting anyone get too close. She will come up for a pet if she has others to use as a buffer between her and the human! She got a belly rub yesterday and really enjoyed it. She even allowed some ears rubs at bedtime cookie time!
Polly will now come in for meals and get into a kennel on her own…which is an improvement. She used to make us set her bowl down and leave the room before she would eat. Polly was probably not abused, just never socialized. She is typical of a beagle who has spent her life in a crate for breeding purposes.
Polly is a love and will continue to respond to positive attention. She will need a family that is around most of the time and has a dog door. A dog companion will be a must! Please give this sweet girl a chance
