My story

Nox is a 3 year old who weighed in at 61 lbs. He is just a home body, but does do very well on the leash. Although he will just stop if going into someplace he is not comfortable with. He is very sweet, but very shy as well. Once he gets to know you he is energetic and likes to run and have fun. This boy was obviously not well socialized while growing up and needs a quiet home where he can be comfortable. The noise of the shelter makes him very uncomfortable and he has been here since March, so one can only imagine how much stress and anxiety he has built up. He has never offered to bit, but then we do not corner him either...we just take it slow and easy with him. Nox can be a lot of fun and does really love hanging out with people he knows. He is looking for someone who will give him the time he needs to get comfortable (It could be 3 months or more for him to release built up anxiety). If you have the patience and love helping dogs come out of their shell, this boy is one you'll want to meet. Nox is available for adoption now.

More about this shelter

Springdale Animal Services' mission is to provide shelter and care to the thousands of stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in need every year. We reunite lost pets with their owners, and place many that are homeless in caring, permanent homes. We strive to ensure the welfare and public safety of our community and its animals through education of our citizens and enforcement of our ordinances. We promote spaying/neutering all domestic animals at the earliest appropriate age, as a means of reducing their overpopulation.
