Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maisie is a beautiful 4-year old female Shepherd/Mountain Cur mix who was brought to the HSOV on July 24, 2022 by a Good Samaritan who found her on State Route 26 near Marietta Ohio in the vicinity of the former Broughton's Dairy Facility and the Interstate-77 overpass. Maisie was accompanied by her best friend Beta (who is a Blue Heeler/Beagle mix). Both of the girls were wearing collars, but there were either dog tags or ID tags on their collars ... And they were not microchipped.
Maisie has a brown/brindle coat with beige highlights, a long tail, and a gorgeous face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose on her slender muzzle, and large erect ears.
Maisie weighs 45 lbs.
Maisie and Beta appear to be very bonded with each other so we've kept them together in a shared kennel so that they can provide a sense of comfort/security for each other.
Since they didn't want to be separated even long enough to have their pictures taken, HSOV Kennel Tech Fredley Tynan took them out together as a pair for their photo session. The girls had a lot to talk about (especially little Beta) so perhaps they were trying to tell us where they lived and what their family's name was. Fredley politely listened to their chatter while they entertained her.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Maisie and Beta were held for three days so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or calling looking for these cute girls.
Since she not reclaimed, Maisie was spayed on August 5, 2022 and was also given rabies vaccine.
Maisie's little friend (Beta) was adopted on August 20, 2022 but Maisie is still waiting on someone to fall in love with her and offer her a fabulous home.
