My story

With her sleek black coat and her mitten-like front paws, teenager kitty POLLY is irresistibly adorable and playful. She loves nothing more than to play with everything and everyone, and anything can be a toy for Polly. Polly loves to scamper through cat tunnels, chase and pounce, and run around with the other kitties in her foster home. While it takes her a little time to warm up to people, once she’s comfortable, she’s happy to accept pets and even belly rubs. She likes to keep you company while you’re on the computer. Polly was rescued from a colony of stray cats, and after discovering that she was friendly, we decided to put her in a loving foster home. Now Polly is ready to go to her very own forever home. She would be happiest in a home with at least one other playful young cat.

Polly has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Polly in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $145 adoption fee ($260 for Polly & Black Jack together) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2107-C0376

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet. All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
