My story

Gato Luna
Domestic Shorthair, Born in 2020, Grey Tabby, Spayed female
Hello, lovely friend!  I’m an energetic, playful girl, looking for my furever home. My kind foster mom has been taking good care of me, since she found me on the streets of northwest Chicago.  We’ll miss each other, especially our morning cuddles, but it’s time to move on. I’d be thrilled to be adopted into a home with another kitten or young cat, with the proper introduction of course. If it’s just me, then I’ll need lots of playtime for all the energy that I have, and I tend to nip to get your attention. I’m still learning that I should not nip, so a firm no helps to remind me. I love interactive toys and wands, anything that keeps me active.  My foster mom has been teaching me to sit and rewards me with my favorite treats.  Maybe you can teach me to high five or jump over toilet paper rolls, so I can become instagram famous.  I’d also be happy to entertain you, your family and friends.  I can’t wait to meet you, and hope that you want to give me a good home.

Additional adoption info

See our process and policies on our website. Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
