My story

Pal's Place would love to introduce you to Ryder, an outgoing, friendly and social guy looking for a loving forever family! Pal's Ryder from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky. He is estimated to be 10-12 months old and weighs 53 pounds. We expect him to gain another 10-15 pounds before he is fully grown, so he is a larger dog. His exact breed is unknown, but we think he might have some Hound, Pointer, Lab, and possibly Am. Staff in his family tree. Ryder is full of love and life! He's a happy guy that's up for any adventure and greets everyone he meets with a giant smile on his face and an abundance of tail wags! He has not had much in the way of training and can still be a bit rambunctious when excited, so homes with older children who will not be knocked over by his exuberant greetings will be the best match for him. Ryder's ideal home is with guardians who can help him work on his manners and some basic obedience and guardians who can provide him with lots of exercise and playtime throughout the day. He is crate trained and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. He is being fostered in a home with several other dogs and gets along well with his canine companions. We think Ryder will fit in easily with most families. He is anxious and eager to meet his forever family; come meet him today!

• Ryder's adoption fee to the rescue is $375. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines. Ryder can be visited by appointment once an adoption application is submitted and approved by the rescue. To complete an adoption application online, visit or email for an application or more information. We cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Pal's Place is 100% reliant on donations to care for our rescued dogs.
