My story

Samson is a 6-8 year old Shih Tzu mix looking for his furever home!  He was adopted several years ago but unfortunately his dad can no longer care for him due to no fault of his own, so he was surrendered to rescue. He has lived with several other dogs and is dog friendly but would do best with dogs his own size or as an only dog. He needs a calm home, and should not go to a home with small children, but older kids (over 12) are ok. He is house trained, leash trained, neutered and UTD on vaccines. He is on Prozac and takes one pill daily, which he has been on for hears and does very well on it.  He is a friendly, happy guy who can't wait to meet his furever family!  He would love a calm home with a single person or couple, as he loves to be around his person

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going. We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
