Meet Toby! Toby is a handsome, goofy boy. He is an Australian Cattle Dog Pit mix, and would thrive in a home without young children. He is 6 years old and about 170lbs. He loves to cuddle, sit on your lap (like he’s a small dog) and if you let him, he’d love to sleep in your bed with you! Does well with other larger dogs and older cats, but can be a little rough when playing. We recently got two small kittens and they have been co-existing with each other well for a few weeks.
Toby would do best with someone who has time to devote a lot of training, as he does have anxiety. Our vet has also recommended that he begin seeing a dog psychiatrist and has put him on medication. He recently bit our one year old son and we can no longer risk having him in the home. You can hand feed him or touch his food bowl with no issues. It is best to avoid rawhides unless training to fix that protective behavior. He can be a bit destructive and needs someone to devote the time needed to train and love him
