My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Independence - Adopt Me
Intake Date: 5 July 2022----- Age at intake: 2 yrs ----- Breed: Lab/Greyhound Mix----- Size: 44 lbs ----- Status: stray/hold expiration ----- Compatible with: Dogs, children. Cats unknown ----- Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard. Apartment with mandatory leash requirements ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Deformed lower jaw. Does not impact her ----- Additional Notes: Welcome Independence! This adorable girl had a LOT of people trying to save her for several days. She appears to have been a dump job off the highway. Finally, she trusted someone enough to help her and she went with them for safety and on the 4th of July! Lucky girl! She then came to FBS and she has been seen by our vet. She has a very deformed lower jaw, half of it is missing, but it does not impact her ability to eat or seem to effect her at all. She is a sweetheart. She rides well in the car, is friendly, and is great with the other dogs. She deserves a long term, loving, and committed family. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory.
