Bonded with Dios

Hi! My name is Lucky and first thing you will notice about me is I'm a big boy and have really cool markings. At least that's what foster mama says.

A little about me.....I really love to play with teaser sticks and laser lights. Foster mama always cracks up when I drag my teaser stick around trying to play with it myself. I also enjoy batting around the fun little toy mice. When I'm not playing, I love hanging out on my cat tower and taking a little snooze. But when my foster family is around, I like to lay next to them and make biscuits on the blankets.

I am currently living with my foster brother (cat) and two resident dogs (shepherds) and have done great with them.

I've done some moving around in my short life and so at first I may seem a little shy, but I warm up quickly. I'm really looking forward to finally having a family I can love on and call my very own. Could that be you???

To meet these special boys, please complete an application for Lucky or his best friend Dios on the CSHS Website.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved. In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place. CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
