My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Adoptions (adoptions@thalppc.com) for more information about this pet.

Natalie is an 8 month old lab hound cross arriving to us as an owner surrender due to housing issues and sadly, Natalie was the one who was forced to part ways with her home and family. Sweet Natalie arrived to us a little too thin and a bit too submissive for such a young pup. We were happy to welcome her as she had never received any vet care or vaccines in her previous home.

It took Natalie a couple of days to acclimate to her new surroundings but this little lady has the time of her life all day, every day! She loves shelter life! Natalie has made friends with a couple of our other dogs and they play from the moment we let them out in the morning until it’s time to settle in for the evening. She is a social butterfly and ADORES the company of other canines! Natalie is also a lover of all humans, children included, and is curious of cats but in a non aggressive, non confrontational way. She is a bundle of energy and an abundance of nonstop joy. This girl has made the sweetest lemonade out of lemons and can handle any curveballs!

Her favorite things are squeaky toys, Nyla bones, and any and all treats. She has also gone on hikes with volunteers and everything was brand new to her - all of the sights, all of the sounds, she did wonderfully and loves car rides too.

Natalie is the happiest dog on the planet and we love her infectious and spirited demeanor. She would thrive with an active person or family that will show her a life full of adventures and activities. She possesses a lot of puppy behaviors that we are working through such as jumping to greet people and energy diversion when introducing herself to people and dogs but she is making up for a lot of lost time she spent cooped in an apartment where she did not receive much attention and exercise.

Natalie will stay on the petite side weighing 35-40 lbs and she would love a home with another dog she could learn the ropes from and become best friends with.

She has brought us daily smiles and laughs but she is missing out on the good life with her own people who will embrace her and treat her as the companion she so desperately wants to be.

Natalie is vaccinated, has filled out beautifully, and will be spayed and home ready soon. She is heartworm negative and up to date on preventatives. Who is ready to make this sensational, freckle faced cutie their new bestie?

The adoption fee is $125which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for heartworms & heartworm preventative medication, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but doing adoptions and meet & greets by appointment only.

More about this shelter

The Pet Placement Center not only saves animals to adopt to good homes, but also works with local rescuers to assist with the trap-neuter-release of feral cat colonies. We also provide pet food, litter, and other supplies for low income pet owners & other rescue organizations in need.
