My story

Lily is the cuddliest cat you will ever meet.

If you don’t move, she can sleep on your lap forever.

Her favorite toy is a fishing pole. It remains her favorite even after she has torn it into strands.

She is not that interested in catnip though.

Lily is also quite a stern kitty. She WILL let you know if her water is out or if she wants her breakfast even though her foster carer is trying to sleep in a little.

She will first meow very loudly, then she’ll jump on the bed and cuddle, until eventually she uses her overflowed cuteness to guilt her fosterer to comply and get out of bed.

Lily is a very energetic cat, and sometimes if she has too much energy, or when she wants attention, she’ll try to give friendly bites to her foster owner. It has never been too seriously though.

Why adoption is a great option

Tiger Lily, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
