My story

Better together! Bonnie and Clyde were surrendered from an owner that went into the hospital and could no longer take care of his sweeties. Clyde is a 3 year old Yorkie mix. This boy is a lover and seeks attention any way he can get it. He’s a complete cuddler and would be happiest near his person. Clyde has a flea rash, but it will be cleared in no time. One ear on Clyde is grown together and looks slightly different, but does not pose any medical issues. Bonnie and Clyde would be happiest with someone that could devote much time and effort into their lives, but someone healthy enough not to ever have to leave them again. Double the love and happiness with Bonnie and Clyde. Adopt them today!

Clyde’s adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes sterilization, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $20.00. We have a dog park to check compatibility with existing dogs. Fill out an adoption application at If your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet. You must apply on our shelter website.

Why adoption is a great option

Clyde, a Heber Springs Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Heber Springs, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Heber Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Heber Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Heber Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Heber Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
