My story

Better together! Bonnie and Clyde were surrendered from an owner that went into the hospital and could no longer take care of his sweeties. Bonnie is a 10 year old Chihuahua. This gal is a loving lap dog that is very laid back and well mannered unless you show her a treat and she get VERY excited. Bonnie has a flea rash, but it will be cleared in no time. Bonnie and Clyde would be happiest with someone that could devote much time and effort into their lives, but someone healthy enough not to ever have to leave them again. Double the love and happiness with Bonnie and Clyde. Adopt them today!
(Bonnie and Clyde are a bonded pair,)

Bonnie’s adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes sterilization, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $20.00. We have a dog park to check compatibility with existing dogs. Fill out an adoption application at If your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet. You must apply on our shelter website.

Why adoption is a great option

Bonnie, a Heber Springs Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Heber Springs, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Heber Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Heber Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Heber Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Heber Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
