My story

This litter of six is from Animal Friends of CT. (Rescues help each other when they are full.) They were born around June 17th and will be ready for adoption after 15th.. They will have first vaccines and be dewormed and FELV/FIV tested. They were handled by three young girls who were very said to give them up. Their friendly Mom showed up in a back yard and had 6 kittens the next day. They brought them inside to a porch and handled them almost from day 1. They are sweet and we hope you will consider a pair. Much more fun to watch. Online adoption form at or email us at

Why adoption is a great option

Lemon, a Kensington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Kensington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Kensington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kensington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kensington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kensington paves the way for another one to be saved.
