My story

Welcome Amber to CCPAL Rescue. She is a Plot Hound/Lab. She should be a 50 pound dog full grown. She is about 12 pounds now. She is about 12 weeks old. She is affectionate, friendly and a great little girl. She has bigger feet so that is why we think 50 pounds full grown weight. She is active, inquisitive and social. She would be great for an active family that wants a dog to go along on all the fun activities. She is good with other dogs, lives with a cat and we are working on potty manners but not fully in. She would do best with a family that isn’t gone 8 hours a day everyday so they can finish up her training. She would be fine with a family that has children. We like them to be 8 years old or older. She is up on her vaccines and will be spayed soon and ready to leave the Rescue. She can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont and all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states

Why adoption is a great option

Amber, a Bandera Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bandera, or seeking a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bandera.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bandera already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bandera breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bandera paves the way for another one to be saved.
