My story

Turner was a stray that was found at a local convenience store. He is a 2 year old Lab mix, UTD with shots, dewormed and heartworm negative. We will neuter and chip. He is friendly, but a little reserved at first, but then warms up He is good with other dogs and good on a leash.

More about this shelter

Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter is a small, open door shelter. We strive to save every adoptable animal that is surrendered, orphaned, abandoned, abused and neglected. All animals are spayed/neutered at time of adoption, vaccinated. All dogs are heartworm tested/treated at time of adoption. All procedures administered to the shelter animals are funded solely on donations. We are in constant need of monetary donations to continue the vetting of these animals.
