My name is Rocket!

Meet the handsome Rocket! He is a 1.5 year old, 10 pound, smooth coated,
Chihuahua mix. He has gorgeous golden eyes and a beautiful red coat with a
cute curled tail. Rocket is a sweet puppy who is waiting to experience
life as a pampered pooch. He was surrendered to AFC by his owner's sister
because he was being mistreated. In spite of this he still prefers people
over other dogs so his new home must include a constant human companion. He
is the perfect size to go everywhere you go. He is on the shy side so he
will need some time to warm up to a new person but once he is comfortable,
he is a lap dog and a cuddle bug. He is learning how to be a normal pup and
has begun to play with toys. He may need a little more leash training and
practice riding in the car. He is working on his potty training skills and
is learning to use the doggy door. We use the command "Go Potty" and Rocket
goes right out the door. He would do best in a quiet adult home where he can
be spoiled and loved. No children please. He is neutered, microchipped and

What is included

In adoption fee for dogs

Spayed or neutered.



Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPv – Vaccination against canine distemper, adenovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. (3 to 4 depending on how long we have them)



Rabies vaccination (if old enough).



De-wormed, Front-lined and Micro-chipped.



A free baby-well exam certificate that most vets will honor.



One week of dry dog or cat food.



One toy and one blanket.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.



2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.
