Handsome Kane is playful and affectionate. He loves walks, runs, playing fetch and tug-a-war. We also recently discovered his love for water. See his water video:
Kane was with the same family since he was a puppy -- a mama's boy who got sad when scolded. But due to an illness/move, he is now left on his own in boarding. He is a big sensitive boy, so boarding was a blow to him at first, leaving him confused and scared for a spell.
We moved him to boarded training where he's working with many handlers throughout the day and doing AMAZING. He's learning how to be an absolutely perfect gentleman, though a little goofy in his execution. It is so fun to watch him bloom and grow -- see for yourself in his training videos. We're adding new ones almost every day!

Although Kane did live with another small female dog, we feel it's best that he have his new start in a home with no dogs as he can be somewhat pushy in meetings. He's working on it though! He also lived with several kids, but please keep in mind his size and rowdiness is a bit too much for smaller, younger children. He means no harm, he doesn't seem to know how big he is. ;-)

Though he's staying busy in training, he still misses having the love and cuddles of a family and the comfort of home. Who wants to adopt or foster this saggy-faced boy?
Age: Almost 2 yrs
Weight: 90 lbs
Temperament: Working on dog socialization, best with easy-going female dogs, best with children 12+ yrs due to size, ignored the cat we tested him with.
Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, walks well on leash, very treat motivated
Vetting: Neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative
Adoption Fee: Negotiable, due to the urgency
Email for questions: jamie@doggieharmony.org
This dog is URGENT; if interested in fostering, we'd love for you to fill out our Foster Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Fosters). Of course, a permanent home is even better. If interested, please complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption)
Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable for an initial meeting and later a home visit. We are 100% donation funded; unless otherwise noted above, please expect a minimal adoption fee of $300 to cover each pet's basic vetting.
