Bonded with Lucky

Hi! My name is Dios and foster mama says I have the prettiest and softest coat.

Would you like to know a little about me? Well, I'm a sweet boy that likes to explore and play with laser lights. I like taking naps on the dog beds and my cat tower. When my foster family is around, I enjoy sitting on their lap and getting some pets. I love making biscuits and making sure my foster mama's blanket is just right for me to lay down on. I love my cat treats and cat nip that foster mama gives to me on occasion.

Because of my past I can be a little shy. I may hide for the first couple of days until I get familiar with my surroundings and know that I'm safe. But once I feel safe I love relaxing and snoozing on the couch with my family. I currently live with my foster brother (cat) and two resident dogs.

To meet these special boys, please complete an application for Dios or his best friend Lucky on the CSHS Website.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved. In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place. CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
