My story

Pickles is a sweet, senior girl who has recently lost both of her favorite people in the world so she is looking for more wonderful people to love! This girl is so special we are waiving her adoption fee!

Pickles loves to be your constant companion and her favorite activity is couch snuggles (Netflix and Chill). She occasionally gets the zoomies and likes to play keep away with her squeaky toys. Pickles can jump down but not up and is skilled with the doggy stairs.

Pickles LOVES people so very much but is not a fan of other dogs - she wants ALL the toys and ALL the love for herself! Pickles will need to be an only dog.

Pickles has Addison's Disease which is managed with a daily oral steroid (that she takes like a champ) and a monthly steroid shot. She requires special prescription food to prevent bladder stones. Pickles will come with a monthly medical grant if needed to cover her medicine and food.

Why adoption is a great option

Pickles, a Southington Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Southington, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
