Jasper is a cat with special needs, as he has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). He is a fun loving guy who would benefit from being adopted with a kitten/cat he can play with. Jasper can jump and cruise across a room very quickly. He will need to be in a home with carpeting, no access to stairs, and no sharp edges. He can eat and drink on his own, he eats both wet food and dry. He does require the use of silicone bowls so he can't injure himself. Jasper uses the litter box on his own, he needs litter that is non clumping (like pine pellets). His disability will not get worse, he learns and adapts to his environment with patience.

We start with a phone interview to gather information to determine if initially it would be a good fit. We then have an application to be completed and in some circumstances a home visit.

More about this rescue
Paws for Life Utah is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that is dedicated to helping homeless dogs, cats and other "at risk" animals from municipal shelters find new, forever homes. We are a no-kill advocate, partnering with the Heber valley animal shelter, making them no-kill in 2013. Since then, we have expanded our reach throughout the state of Utah to rescue animals at risk. Our vision for the future is a "no kill" nation.
