My story

This adorable little guy is Milo. Just look at that sweet little face! Is that not the cutest thing you’ve see in a while? He is very sweet, good natured and loves nothing more than running around and playing with his kennel mates. He is good with kids, cats and other dogs, so he’ll be a great pet for some lucky family. His date of birth is 4/30/22, making him 13 weeks old and weighing about 12 pounds at the time of this posting (8/2/22). He has been neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, wormed and is on heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400.

Milo is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to residents of those states.

Why adoption is a great option

MILO, a Newburgh Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Newburgh, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Newburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
