My story

Rusty is such a handsome boy…I love his orangish tan coloring. He is a sweetheart for sure…great natured, happy, loveable and friendly. He loves people (grownups as well as kids) and gets along great with the other dogs. Like most puppies his age, there’s nothing he enjoys more than playing with his kennel mates and toys. Rusty will make wonderful pet for some lucky family. He is almost 16 weeks old (dob 4/14/22) and he weighs 20 pounds. He has been neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400.

Rusty is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine on him since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Why adoption is a great option

RUSTY, a Newburgh Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Newburgh, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Newburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
