My story

Nick was a TNR case with a bad eye. He needed medical care and could not be released. We got him the care he needed, and although he looks like a right pirate now, he is loving his life inside! This guy does need an experienced adopter, as he will take a little while to settle in and does have stimulation limitations. When respected, he is a loving and playful lap cat. We are so pleased that we can give Nick an opportunity to have a full life indoors and are seeking the family that can take care of him in the way he deserves. Nick is FIV positive, which is NOT a death sentence. It simply means he must be fed good food and kept indoors to avoid any infections, as his immune system is compromised. He is currently in foster care with other cats and does just fine. He has not experienced dogs or children.

All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Please fill in our application via this link: http://www.felinematchmakers.org.

We only adopt kittens and young cats out within a one hour radius of Wilmington, NC. Occasionally we make exceptions for adult cats, but we are not a transport company.

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE GUIDELINES, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.

More about this rescue

Faith McNitt started Feline Matchmakers in January of 2020. We are a small organization that focuses on owner surrenders. The larger organizations focus on shelter pulls, so we feel this is the most needed service in Wilmington, NC. We also work TNR cases in small numbers. We are looking for fosters to build our organization. All fosters work on a charity basis, as we do not yet have the funding to pay for anything other than medical expenses. If interested in joining us to save cats from being euthenized or put in shelters, please contact us.
