My story

Brisket is about as close to being perfect as any cat we've ever seen. She knows her name (and will come to "Biscuit" as well) and comes when you call her. She is very vocal and will talk to you as long as you talk to her. She really likes hanging out with her foster mom in the kitchen. She is very confident and moves about the foster's cats and dog without fear or aggression. She Is also very nurturing and likes to be around kittens--and not just her own. She has been very sweet to all of the kittens in the foster's home and is very protective of them. She likes to play and run through the house. Her favorite spot to sleep is in front of the southern-most window on the cat tree. She doesn't like to be picked up and is funny about having her head touched but she really does like to be near her humans.A pet down her back is enough for her. We just can't say how really great Brisket is! She will be a wonderful addition to any loving home.

She is vocal, playful, and comfortable around all of her foster’s  personal pets. She has blended so well with her foster mom’s critters that you would think she was born there. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body, but also won’t be pushed around. Brisket is an amazing housecat, no longer having to live on the streets begging for food.

Brisket’s green eyes, with black eyeliner make her a real beauty.

She was discovered pregnant, dumpster-diving out back a local barbecue joint by one of the boys who worked there. This beauty got into foster care with foster mom Soundra and gave birth to ColeSlaw, Tator Salad, and Hushpuppy on April 22nd.  Now that this young mother has weaned her babies and been spayed, she is living the life! Her favorite things to do are running through the house at full speed (all the better if another cat is playing with her), chasing balls, hanging out with FMS in the kitchen and talking about whatever pops into her head.

While not crazy about being held, she does Iike rubs and she likes being with her people. She is also very nurturing and would be a good companion for a cat of any age.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page:  Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
