My story

Hi. My name is Gunner and I am a Lab mix. I am around 4 months old and weigh around 30 pounds. My foster mom says I am the sweetest pup who likes to play, snuggle, and lounge around. I do tend to be a little clumsy with my long legs and big paws. I’ll grow into them. I do well with other dogs and have liked everyone I have met. I am working on potty and kennel training. My foster mom says I have made vast improvements already. I listen well for a pup and will stop with a No command. I will be a great addition to any family. My adoption fee us $175

If you are interested in Gunner, please visit www.pawscare.org, and click on the online application. We require the application to be filled out and approved prior to meeting him as all of our animals are in private foster homes. Please fill out all information as we cannot process incomplete applications. A phone number for your veterinarian is a must. If a number is not included, your application cannot be processed.

Why adoption is a great option

Gunner, a Hillsboro Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
