My story

Garibaldi is a charming furball of love and energy. He is a sweet boy who loves to play and cuddle up next to you. He has a wide range of sounds from mews to chirps to let you know what he’s thinking and to get your attention. He loves to be a shoulder cat and is quick to warm up in new situations. He will greet your guests with his tail high and a joyful jump into their lap. He would do best with another higher energy companion who likes to play or in a home that can give him lots of attention. Garibaldi was born around 4/16/2020.

Why adoption is a great option

Garibaldi, a New York Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
