My story

This little guy is happiest when he’s with our dogs, I can actually hear the song 🎶 I want be like you from the Jungle Book when I see him look at our dogs🐾💙 His perfect home will be one with another dog he can play with and learn from. He is very shy and takes time to trust humans, food and having a wire crate has helped him a lot. We would recommend children over 12 or none at all.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policies, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Why adoption is a great option

Sharm, a CUMMING Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in CUMMING, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in CUMMING.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in CUMMING already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a CUMMING breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in CUMMING paves the way for another one to be saved.
