My story

Meet Cammie, a brindle beauty for your family! Cammie is a 6 month old Mountain Cur that was abandoned. Beside Cammie’s beautiful deep red and black brindle coat, she is super gentle and sweet. She adores attention and gets along with dogs and cats. She is learning potty training in her foster home. Cammie would love a yard to run and play along with a family that would never leave her. Make Cammie yours!

Cammie’s adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes sterilization, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $20.00. We have a dog park to check compatibility with existing dogs. Fill out an adoption application at heberspringshumanesociety.com. If your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet. You must apply on our shelter website.

Why adoption is a great option

Cammie, a Heber Springs Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur for sale in Heber Springs, or seeking a Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Heber Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Heber Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Heber Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur breeders who help with Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Heber Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
