My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Belding has been exceling with his foster parents. He is about 6 months old and is such a delight to be around. He is currently the talk of the neighborhood and everyone loves him. He stops and greets everyone he sees. He spends his days relaxing in his bed next to his Foster mom’s desk while she works from home. He is always a perfect gentleman and is usually sleeping through conference calls or chewing on a chew toy. When he is not snoozing by his foster mom’s feet he is outside playing with his foster dad. He LOVEs to be outside. Oftentimes, he just wants to lay in the sun. He sleeps through the night in his crate and doesn’t make a peep. He has had no accidents in house since bringing him home. And he is currently working on learning to sit but has already mastered puppy eyes. He does great with other dogs and loves children. And he even does great with his foster family’s cat. He loves to boop noses with her. Mr. Belding is a loyal and sweet dog. He just wants to be wherever his people are. He will make the perfect addition to any family.

This puppy is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on-site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed on the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $600, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee.

More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of different from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies with no background info, we make our best-educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
