My story

Meet Genre!

Genre is very gentle and sweet. She likes to be in your lap all the time.

Looking for an assistant? This little girl will be happy to help, as long as all you require is a lot of love and sitting in your lap. She is so happy when her foster is sitting down at the computer so she can jump in her lap and stay as long as she can.

She has only been around one other dog and was not a fan. So would probably do best in a household without dogs. She would be best in a home with a person or people who are home a lot.

Genre was found with multiple siblings abandoned. We had a mama cat who was willing to take the litter in as her own and they thrived with their new mom.
Genre has been spayed, vaccinated and ready to find her new family.

DOB 4/15/2022

Our adoption fees are $125 for one, $200 for 2, and cover the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots, microchip, combo test, deworming, and collar and ID tag.

We require our adopters are 21 years old or older, keep the cat inside only (unless on a leash/harness or in a catio), and do not declaw.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We ask all potential adopters to complete an application/contract. Next, we interview all potential adopters. We ask about previous pets owned, if all family members want to adopt, and the conditions in which the animal will live. Generally we will not finalize an adoption if the animal will be allowed outdoors unsupervised, or if all family members do not agree to the adoption. We also discourage declawing of cats. Our adoption fee is $125 for one cat or $200 for two and covers a test for FIV and feline leukemia, at least one vaccination, a microchip, collar and tag, and a spay or neuter surgery. All pets are wormed and vaccinated.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every Sunday afternoon at the PetSmart on Greenville Ave just north of Lovers Lane in Dallas. Please check out our Facebook page or call/text 214-912-2573 to find out when our next adoption event will be held. If you're not able to visit an adoption event, send us an email and we can arrange to meet you at a local business or your vet's office. Email for weekend adoption event starting times.

More about this rescue

Our group's founders came from other cat rescue groups as we wanted to accept the cats others would not accept; older animals, injured, FIV positive and black cats/kittens. We also assist with TNR and have several traps to loan. We are small and informal, and always welcome new volunteers in any capacity.
