My story

Holly is a pretty, petite 2.5 year old, 37 lb female Red Merle Queensland Heeler mix ready for her forever family.
Holly is house trained, good on the leash, crate trained and good with other dogs. Holly loves to go on walks, and  would love to be part of an active family that can shower her with love.  She would do great with a playful, friendly dog friend too!
Holly ’smiles’ when her foster family gets home, she is so happy to see them and will make a loving, loyal, affectionate companion.
Holly can be shy at first, but comes around quickly, and would love to go to puppy classes with her people. It’s a great way to bond and she is a smart girl that loves to learn.  She’d do best in a home with children over 12, and with no cats or small furry critters, tortoises ok.
Her adoption fee of $300. includes her spay, microchip and current vaccinations.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

SPOT adopts puppies less than 1 year- $450, dogs 1-8 yr- $300, 9 yr- $200. Our kittens are $150 up to 6 months. $125- 6 months to a year. $100 one year or older unless otherwise noted. We often have low pricing during kitten season. We ask you to complete an adoption application. A home check will be scheduled to be sure there are no inadvertent dangers in your home or yard. A meet and greet will be arranged so that your whole family can meet your new pet before adopting him/her. We want to make sure it is a good fit since it is a commitment for the animal’s lifetime.

Go meet their pets

All of the SPOT pets are in foster homes. To meet an animal, please fill out an adoption application by visiting our website at and clicking on "Applications". Someone will get in touch with you as soon as possible. We can also tell you when the next adoption event at a local pet store will be held, or we can set up a time to meet with you.

More about this rescue

SPOT was created to fill the need to save animals who “fall through the cracks” in our sheltering system. Local shelters are overwhelmed—they receive so many strays and owner turn-ins that they run out of space and have to kill thousands of animals each year. The majority of these animals are healthy and simply need to be placed into a home. Others are medical cases which require some work, but do not have life-threatening diseases or injuries. And a few have some moderate behavior issues; we work with specialists to correct these behaviors before finding them their forever home. The bottom line is SPOT can save these lives.
