My story

Meet Corn Bread! This sweet pup is going to be a large gal when she grows up. She originally came into HSEC's care with 13 other puppies! She is absolutely beautiful and her personality is really starting to blossom in her foster home. She is currently working on crate and potty training. She gets along well with other dogs and even has made a human friend who is 5 years old.

Puppies may be adorable but will require a lot of training and patience to ensure they become the absolute best canine citizens. We ask all interested puppy adopters to take the time to consider the amount of commitment puppies take and if that fits into their current and future lifestyle! HSEC staff will be happy to get you started on the right puppy parent path!

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
