My story

If ever there was a Lab that you could call stunning inside and out, it is our girl Savannah.   This 1-2 year old 70 pound girl embodies every element of a good dog that you could ever want.  She is smart, fun and playful and so very curious about all the things in life that she encounters.  This girl is wonderful with humans of all ages; children are such fun for her.   This girl has all the elements to be polished and trained in to a wonderful dog that is memorable.  Right now she is housebroken but not so great on the leash yet.   She is good in a crate and doesn’t seem to be a barker or noisy.   A good game of catch is certainly something she would love to do every day in a fenced in backyard that is best for a dog her size and need to stay safe.  She loves to get on the sofa and sit right next to you but if you don’t allow that she does respond to being told “No down”.  She is lover through and through and after being found as a stray in a neighborhood where some people shoot dogs that wander on their property, this girl was lucky enough to be taken in to a foster home and kept safe while Critter Cavalry Rescue finds the right forever family for Savannah.

If you are interested and have a fenced yard and the ability to handle a strong 70 pound girl out for walks on a leash, then email us please at   She is ready for  you to make her in to the diamond she truly is.

PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
