This stunning guy is Zimba. 🦁 Zimba is about 2 1/2 years old gorgeous mixed breed pup that is looking for his happily ever after. He had a long couple months getting over those unfortunate heartworms but thanks to his amazing foster family, he's fully recovered, has a clean bill of health, and is ready to find his family.
If you are looking for a trusting, loyal companion to go on hikes, runs and other adventures, Zimba is teh dog for you. Zimba loves learning new things and will do best with structure and a leader. He is an AMAZING dog that will show you all his love and trust as soon as you give him that first treat and trust is established. He is definitely not the type that wants to lounge all day, but will enjoy sunbathing after his daily exercise & training! Zimba is smart, agile, and eager to please his human.
Zimba’s Foster mom is a dog trainer and has done wonderfully teaching him manners on the leash and in the home, and this training needs to be continued in his forever home! He is a stunning boy with an amazing temperament, but he does take a moment and a calm slow introduction to warm up to new people. Once he lets you in, he is extremely loving, and he makes best friends with every pup he meets!
For Zimba we are looking for a home with dog experience that is well aware what an active dog with a prey drive means. Cats are a no go for this sweet boy. He corrects well but will chase if one crosses his path. His forever home needs to have confident, calm handlers that are willing to put in the work to show him the world is a safe place. His foster mom is happy to work together with you.

Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!
