Munson is a cute 4-month old male Hound mix puppy who arrived at the HSOV on August 8, 2022 when he was placed in an outside kennel during the early morning hours. Munson was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.
This little sweetheart has a tan short smooth coat with a patch of white on his chest, several snow white toe nails, rather long legs, a long tail with black shading, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, black shading on his long square muzzle, and large floppy ears.
Munson has a happy 'Type A' personality and is full of playful puppy energy. Munson is an affectionate young man who loves attention, and he gives great puppy kisses.
Munson was at the height of his glory when HSOV Kennel Manager Rachal Merrow and HSOV Kennel Tech Hayley Sturm showered him with attention while he had his Petfinder/Facebook photos taken on August 8th. Munson is a wanna-be lap dog and loves to be loved.
Munson weighs 18.6 lbs and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out his slim physique.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Munson was held for three days so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for this special puppy.
Since he was not reclaimed, Munson went home with a foster family on August 30, 2022 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.
Munson was neutered on January 21, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. He was adopted by his foster family that day.
Unfortunately, Munson came back to our shelter on February 22, 2023 since it turned out that he is an accomplished 'door dasher' and kept escaping and getting into mischief with neighbors.
So Munson is once again looking for the perfect home.
We look forward to taking updated photos of this handsome youngster since he currently weighs 53 lbs. Munson hasn't changed much in looks, but he is quite a bit larger these day.
