Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our Elmo must be a big Sesame Street fan, because he seems to have modeled his personality off of their Elmo! Both are happy boys with sunny dispositions. They`re curious and playful, and both are very friendly and always leave their hearts open to love.

Elmo can be very silly and loves to play and jog around our play yards…but when it`s cuddle time he settles right down. He`ll stand next to you with his tail wagging for as long as you`ll pet him. He walks well on a leash, and loves any and all snacks. He`s great with people and very gentle. He also already knows how to sit on command.

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday 5 pm to 7 pm. We are also open on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
