My story

Lena is a 1 year old 23 lb female schnauzer mix who is young, active, and ready to play.   She will be a great family dog and will chase the ball as often as you are willing to throw it.   Lena will do great with some training and has a perfect temperment to be a loyal lifetime companion who will go with you everywhere. Lena's ideal home is with a family who has a yard and can play with often.   She loves other dogs and will do well as a companion to your current dog.   If you are interested in Lena, please complete an application on line at

Why adoption is a great option

Lena, a Costa Mesa Standard Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer for sale in Costa Mesa, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Costa Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Costa Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Costa Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Costa Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
