My story

Walter has a great personality. He loves to follow his person around, he likes other dogs and cats (has primarily been around other small dogs). He was abandoned at a vets office that contacted us. He has now been neutered, micro chipped and up to date on all his shots. He has had a nice grooming to remove all the mattes and so that he can see again! He does not appreciate being groomed but it is possible :) He is only really touchy around his butt and face (but who isn't). He loves to play and to snuggle. He is crate trained and is working very hard on his house training but will need someone willing to continue to work on this since he spent so many years unaltered and assumes he needs to let the ladies know where he's at. This should improve over time. He can be a little cocky, like most yorkies, but he really does want his peoples approval. He would love to be in a house with adults where he gets to be the "baby". Please contact us if you want to be his forever!

More about this rescue

West Side Animal League is a volunteer organization that rescues animals from various Fort Worth area shelters. We strive to accomplish our goal of responsible pet ownership by raising public awareness of the need to spay and neuter pets and holding adoption events, spending quality time socializing the animals and in many cases bringing them into our homes as fosters until they can find their own fur-ever home. We provide vaccinations and medical care as funds are available. 100% of our expenses are covered by donations and adoption fees. We are only able to accomplish this through the generosity of both time and money from others who also want to make the world a better place for our furry friends. If you would like to find out about opportunities to help, call our League line at 817-565-8222 or go to our meetup site at www.meetup.com/West-Side-Pet-Adoption-Meetup-Group. Thank you for your support as we continue Working to Save Animal Lives!
