My story

Please contact the Cat Team (catapplications@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.

DOB:  04/22/22

Cheeto was born outside to a feral mom before being trapped and joining the GRASP family. Cheeto is still a shy boy who will need time and a patient adopter willing to work with him to continue building his confidence.  A home with a social kitty will be beneficial, but we will adopt out to a home with no other cats if the adopter is willing to work with him on his confidence.

Cheeto loves to play with toys, but doesn’t interact if his foster mom is using a laser pointer or string toy.  He can usually be found cuddled with another kitty.  Mr Monkey, also available, is his favorite cuddle buddy, but they do not need to be adopted together.

When Cheeto is up high, he feels safer and will allow you to pet him and pick him up.  He gets nervous when on the floor due to how tall humans look compared to his little self.  He does enjoy wet food which is a great way to help him get comfortable with you.  Catnip also is a good incentive.

Due to Cheeto’s shyness, we are looking for a quiet adult-only home.  He should be okay with a cat-friendly dog.

This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.

More about this rescue

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
