My story

Please contact the Cat Team ( for more information about this pet.

DOB: 08/01/21

Sammi is a very handsome 1-year-old silver gray tabby who was rescued from life outside in very bad shape. Once brought into GRASP care, he was nursed back to his health by his loving foster mom.

Given his time spent outside, Sammi is shy and will need time to learn to trust his new family. His foster mom has seen his potential to become playful in his foster home.

He may hide when nervous, so will need a quiet home with patient humans willing to help him continue to gain confidence. He would benefit from a friendly and submissive resident kitty to show him everything is okay.

If you think you have the right home and time to work with Sammi, apply to adopt this young man who deserves a second chance at the good life!

This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.

More about this rescue

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
