My story

Oliver is the sweetest, most gentle puppy you will ever meet! This boy is currently in our jail dog program and his best buddy is a 3 pound puppy who he "protects" from the other larger puppies. He loves to curl up and sleep with his little buddy or lets the pup sleep on him!

Oliver came to us as an orphaned pup and was bottle fed by one of our best fosters. Once he was big enough we put him in our jail program where the female inmates are working on basic training with him.

Oliver is calm and gentle and will make such a good family member. He is about 11 weeks old and should be medium to large when full grown ( probably between 55-65 pounds).

If you'd like to add this amazingly sweet boy to your family please fill out our online application at www.goofyfootrescue.org

Oliver is in foster care in west TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized.

Why adoption is a great option

Oliver, a Southington Boxer/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Rottweiler for sale in Southington, or seeking a Boxer/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Rottweiler breeders who help with Boxer/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
