My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Amazing Grace! Formerly known as Wild Thing, this delightful pup now embodies the grace and charm that her new name suggests. After some thoughtful consideration, we found that "Wild Thing" didn't quite capture her true essence. Instead, "Amazing Grace" reflects her gentle nature and the beauty she brings into every interaction.

Amazing Grace is a staff and volunteer favorite. She loves to take a leisurely walk, then head off to the play yard for a rousing game of tug. In her foster home, Amazing Grace proved to be a well-mannered house guest. She's completely house-trained, appreciates her crate, and has been diligently working on her basic obedience skills. She also loves taking naps on a plush, soft bed. Her foster mom often described her as having sweet, expressive eyes that light up when spoken to. So, whether you're looking for a listening ear after a long day or a companion for sharing silly stories, Amazing Grace is all ears!

As our longest-standing resident, a fact that puzzles us all, she simply requires a bit of grace. Could you be the one to extend it to her? Amazing Grace would truly thrive in a cat-free environment and alongside family members aged 16 and older. Adopt Amazing Grace and open your home to welcome this majestic queen, where she'll undoubtedly charm her way into your heart!

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
