Arden is 5 months old and weighs 4 lbs; Arden was born to a stray cat (MooMoo) rescued from the street in order to be rehome.  Arden and MooMoo are being rehomed together as a bonded pair.  Arden is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is Feline Hiv/FeLeuk negative.

What Arden's current foster says about children:  Arden has never been around children, but states Arden can be adopted into a home with children.

What Arden's current foster says about dogs:  Arden grew up around calm, cat-friendly dogs.  She likes dogs a lot and will gently bat at their wagging tails and cuddle up next to them to nap.  Any dogs she lives with would need to be similarly calm and gentle.

What Arden's current foster says about cats:  Arden grew up around adult cats in addition to her mother, MooMoo.  The other adult cats mostly do not want to interact and Arden respect their personal space.

Arden loves everything and fears nothing, she has free roam throughout the house, she sleeps cuddling with her kittens in cat trees or cat beds and next to people; and she does well in a crate in the car.

Arden's current describes the ideal home/family:  Arden is looking for a cat-experienced home with her mom, MooMoo (approximately 2 years old).  They are being placed as a bonded pair; they love playing and napping together.  MooMoo is independent; she is not scared of people, but does not wish to interact, which is why an experienced cat lover who understands and appreciates this would be the would be the best fit for her.  Arden is affectionate and playful with people.  She is somewhat independent (constantly by your side) but she sometimes is in the mood to nap in a lap!  She also loves curling up next to a friendly, calm dog. Arden and MooMoo's ideal home would be ready for kitten-proofing because Arden is ready to climb and jump and play on and with anything.  When she is feeling especially energetic and doesn't want to be held, she is gentle with asking to be put down, so she would be okay with gentle kids who also understand MooMoo's personality.

More about this rescue

Rescue Well was founded by Christine Sandberg in Baltimore, Maryland in 2011. Since its launch, it’s grown from offering post-adoption support to the city shelter, to offering several programs across Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. Our Programs focus on improving the lives of both pets and its owners. We proudly serve without judgment or expectations and we strictly follow our Rescue Well Engagement Model: ENGAGE > EDUCATE > EMPOWER. Our organization’s programs are run by volunteers who are actively engaged in front-line intervention, community support, shelter support, and re-homing services for all pets.
