Updated: 9/19/2022

SKY is my name and beauty is my game! I’m an 11 month old Silver Lab mix weighing about 63 pounds. I’m active, playful, cuddly, snuggly, want to please my humans and be by them. I live with my foster family, their two children, several other dogs and a couple foster dogs. My foster family has an active house and I’m friendly and gentle with all their company.

I am absolutely the sweetest girl and love all things and all people. I always want to be by you, will follow you around and lay by you.  I’m house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and know my commands like sit, shake, come, and off. I pull a little on a leash though I continue to improve.

Toys toys toys, I absolutely love toys like squeaky and Krinkley ones and nylabones to chew on! I sleep through the night in my crate on a comfy dog bed. Also, When my foster family is gone I am put in a crate with toys. I love other dogs, share and steal toys, wrestle and play chase with them.

I enjoy being outdoors and running around. I’m an active dog, who needs daily exercise to be on my best behavior. I enjoy lots and lots of snuggles as I’m the bestest snuggler. I’d be good in a home with children or as a companion to another dog. I can’t wait to meet you!

Adoption Fee: $500.00

We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433

***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.

Our Weight Classes are as follows:
0- 25lbs - Small
26- 45lbs - Medium
46-89 - Large
90+ X-large

If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:

Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.

If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee.

Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.

If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.

If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.

Please go to
WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.

Additional adoption info

To begin our adoption process, please visit http://www.tailwaggers911.com/howtoadoptapet.htm - there you can read more about our policies, our adoption area and fill out an online application. The applications are good for 90 days. After being approved, you will receive an email and if the dog you are interested in is available, the foster for the dog will be in contact to set up a meet and greet to determine if this is the correct dog for your family/lifestyle. If so, you could begin our mandatory 5 day foster to adopt trial period, and if you decided to adopt, we would set up your home visit. Any questions, please email rescuedogs@tailwaggers911.com
